Live Nation/Ticketmaster Merger Approved in U.K

The proposed merger between Live Nation and Ticketmaster took one giant step toward becoming a reality yesterday as the U.K. Competition Commission approved of the union, which would join the biggest ticketing and artist management company with the largest concert promotions company. The last obstacle to the proposed merger is approval from Canada and the United States, where the Department of Justice is reportedly in the final round of review before finally deciding whether to allow the massive venture.

This album turn out to be a really good one. The only reason I got it was because amazon had it for 3.99. But I would of paid the 7.99 that it's going for now if I listen to it first. You really should go listen to it and buy it if you like.

Best Songs: Kings And Queens, and Closer To The Edge.

More on Weezer's Bus accident

Weezer webmaster/documentarian Karl Koch has posted an extensive blog detailing the events of yesterday's bus accident that left frontman Rivers Cuomo hospitalized with three cracked ribs, internal damage and an injured lower leg. An excerpt is posted below; you can read the whole thing here:

"The bus contained Rivers, his wife and daughter, their nanny, and Rivers' assistant Sarah. Both Sarah and Rivers' wife were pitched out of their upper level bunks onto the floor 5 feet below. Somehow Rivers' wife was uninjured, but Sarah sustained 2 fractured ribs and a fractured lower vertebrae. The baby daughter was in her crib unit and was fine, as was the nanny who was sleeping near the floor in her bunk at the time. However in the back lounge, Rivers was tossed around violently, waking up as he landed back on his mattress. He recalled not hitting anything, but later we learned that he must have, as he cracked 3 ribs and sustained some mostly minor but very painful internal damage, as well as hurting his lower leg somehow.

The other buses pulled up within 20 minutes of the accident, and already a long line of firetrucks and EMT vehicles were on the scene. I threw on my shoes and walked up just as the jaws of life were being turned on, catching a glimpse of Rivers lying inside on his back surrounded by EMTs. I couldnt believe what was happening in front of me, as Rivers lay so helpless, shivering in the center of the chaos, and meanwhile the sun was coming up and revealing an utterly beautiful light covering of snow on the surrounding trees."

Weezer's frontman was in a bus accident

Weezer singer-guitarist Rivers Cuomo has been hospitalized for minor injuries after his tour bus skidded off the road in upstate New York at approximately 7:30 a.m. According to CNN, the bus was on the New York State Thruway around 40 miles west of Albany en route from Toronto, Ontario, to Boston after a light snowstorm when the rear of the vehicle slipped on ice, ran into several reflective road posts and jumped a guardrail, landing in a ditch. Cuomo was brought to St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, New York, via ambulance complaining of rib pain, along with his assistant, Sarah Kim, the Utica Observer-Dispatch reports. The frontman’s wife, Kyoko, and their two-year-old daughter were on the bus, but not injured; the bus was transporting one additional passenger who was also uninjured in the crash.
